All mainstream and specialist organisations engaged in humanitarian responses can learn and benefit from this experience. This guide complements the ‘Humanitarian inclusion standards for older people and people with disabilities’ (see Appendix 4), by documenting practices that will help humanitarian organisations to systematically include older people and people with disabilities.

The Call to Action on Protection from GBV in Emergencies, formally launched in 2013 by the United Kingdom and Sweden, aims to fundamentally transform the way GBV is addressed in humanitarian operations via the collective action of numerous partners, each bringing our various strengths and capacities... to the table. Our goal is to drive change and foster accountability within the humanitarian sphere. The commitment to act and to hold ourselves accountable for action is what binds us together under the Call to Action.

El Plan tiene sus fundamentos en la estrategia de escalamiento que se inició en octubre de 2018 por Naciones Unidas para responder a las necesidades humanitarias y de otras iniciativas de respuestas implementadas por otros actores humanitarios. Este Plan permitirá fortalecer las capacidades operacionales de los actores humanitarios y poner las bases para alcanzar una población meta más amplia en 2020. El Plan será actualizado de acuerdo a información disponible, incluyendo nuevas evaluaciones.
