This document focuses on making recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of Chagas disease, an infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi, the protozoan agent of a systemic parasitic disease. A multidisciplinary development group was formed, comprised of thematic experts, epidemiologists, methodologists, and users.
