В документе рассматриваются некоторые важнейшие права, базирующиеся на конвенциях, и стандарты Организации Объединенных Наций по правам человека, такие как Принципы ПБ и Стандартные правила. В документе показано, как эти стандарты можно использовать в качестве руководства по обеспечению соблюдения требований международных конвенций о правах человека.

The guidelines also identify gaps in the evidence-base to guide future research efforts to improve the effectiveness of sanitation interventions.

Of course, there could be other representations of this reality, such as stories (Dart and Davies, 2003) or drawings (Feuerstein, 1986) or photographs (Tijm et al, 2011). However, indicators are a widely accepted way of representing what is being achieved in a programme or project.
