world. When epidemics strike, they can spread rapidly. The disease can also evolve quickly;
patients with severe disease can die of dehydration hours after showing the first symptoms of

Ce guide rassemble des documents existants liés à la santé mentale et au soutien psychosocial (MHPSS) relatifs à la crise du COVID-19, ainsi que d'autres ressources applicables au contexte. Il est divisé en différentes sections en fonction des « espaces de nouvelle vulnérabilité » inhéren...ts à certains programmes de l'OIM, bien que beaucoup d'entre eux soient applicables à d'autres domaines. Ce guide couvre à la fois l'intégration de la SMSPS et des actions spécifiques.
Les responsables SMSPS trouveront également des conseils sur la façon de résoudre les problèmes moins techniques et plus managériaux et programmatiques liés à la pandémie, y compris la redéfinition des programmes, la capacité de crise et comment gérer les demandes de soutien des collègues des mêmes missions.

De plus, elle actualise les droits et responsabilités en matière de santé et de sécurité au travail des agents de santé conformément aux normes de l’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT).

Passados os primeiros meses da pandemia do novo coronavírus no Brasil, o Observatório Covid-19 Fiocruz, em parceria com a Editora Fiocruz e com o apoio da Rede SciELO Livros, traz para o público leitor... um conjunto de livros instantâneos sobre as análises nele realizadas desde que foi criado para subsidiar o seu combate. Nesta série Informação para Ação na Covid-19 será apresentado um balanço do conjunto de documentos (notas e relatórios técnicos, boletins, ensaios, informes, recomendações, ensaios, artigos, entre outros) produzidos em resposta à pandemia. Cada volume da série se estrutura em torno de um tema: aspectos globais da pandemia e da diplomacia em saúde; cenários epidemiológicos e vigilância em saúde; as políticas e a gestão dos serviços e sistemas de saúde; orientações para os cuidados e a saúde dos trabalhadores da saúde; impactos sociais e desigualdades sociais na pandemia. Com a publicação destes estudos em livros instantâneos e de acesso aberto colocamos à disposição do público o conjunto de informações e conhecimentos gerados no âmbito do Observatório Covid-19 Fiocruz, realizamos um balanço e uma reflexão sobre como chegamos ao cenário atual e apontamos caminhos para um futuro próximo. E, ao mesmo tempo, mantemos o registro histórico desse conhecimento produzido a quente, no calor da hora.

Le présent guide opérationnel sert de feuille de route pour la surveillance et les interventions en matière de mortalité maternelle et périnatale dans les milieux cliniques et politiques, comme décrit dans les deux guides de référence de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS) intitulé...s : Surveillance des décès maternels et riposte – Directives techniques – Prévention des décès maternels – Informations au service de l’action («Guide SDMR», 2013) et Pour que chaque enfant compte : audit et examens des mortinaissances et des décès néonatals» (2016).
Ces deux guides proposent des approches fondées sur l’utilisation de données de qualité sur les soins de santé pour mettre un terme aux décès maternels, aux mortinaissances et aux décès néonatals évitables.

Le Sénégal a réalisé des Enquêtes Démographiques et de Santé (EDS) en 1986, 1992, 1997, 2005, et 2010-2011. Au sortir de l’édition de 2010-2011, notre pays s’est engagé dans la mise en œuvre d’un programme d’enquêtes dont la périodicité de collecte de données est ramenée à un... an (EDScontinue). A la suite de la phase pilote du projet de l’enquête Continue (2012-2017) initiée par l’USAID, le Ministère de l’Economie, du Plan et de la Coopération à travers l’ANSD avec la collaboration du Ministère
de la Santé et de l’Action Sociale, s’est engagé pour pérenniser l’enquête Continue. Ce rapport présente les résultats de la deuxième année de pérennisation (2019).

Notre étude porte sur les agents de santé et la perception de leur rôle, précisément le cas des infirmiers du centre hospitalier universitaire pédiatrique Charles De Gaulle. Au Burkina Faso, tout comme ailleurs dans le monde, les infirmiers dispensent près de 80% des services de santé. Cepen...dant, dans la pratique leur pouvoir de responsabilité et leur autorité sont très
limités, de même qu’il existe un écart entre rôle défini et celui accompli. Ainsi on y dénote de l’ambiguïté, liée au manque de clarté des missions de son service et de précision dans leur rôle, faisant qu’ils en sont parfois désabusés. Ce qui révèle aussi que le problème pour les diverses catégories de personnel infirmier soit beaucoup lié au manque de définition précise
des rôles, et à la sous-utilisation de leurs compétences.

Un comité OMS d’experts sur la trypanosomiase humaine africaine (THA) : lutte et surveillance, s’est réuni à Genève (Suisse), du 22 au 26 avril 2013. Le Dr H. Nakatani, sous-directeur général pour le VIH/SIDA, la tuberculose, le paludisme et les maladies tropicales négligées, a ouvert la... réunion au nom du Dr M. Chan, directeur-général de l’OMS.
La THA est une maladie qui afflige les populations rurales de l’Afrique, là où prolifère la mouche tsé-tsé (ou glossine), vecteur des trypanosomes qui en sont la cause. On distingue deux formes de THA : la forme à T. b. gambiense ou forme gambienne, endémique en Afrique de l’Ouest et en Afrique centrale et qui
représente actuellement 95 % des cas, et la forme à T. b. rhodesiense ou forme rhodésienne, endémique en Afrique de l’Est et en Afrique australe, à laquelle sont dus les 5 % restants.

Cependant, le chemin vers l’objectif du « triple milliard » semble encore long, à savoir « faire en sorte qu’un milliard de personnes supplémentaires bénéficient ...de la couverture sanitaire universelle, qu’un milliard de personnes supplémentaires soient mieux protégées face aux situations d’urgence et qu’un milliard de personnes supplémentaires bénéficient d’un meilleur état de santé et d’un plus grand bien-être ».
