Data presented in this report was gathered in the Area of Origin’s twenty-first round of data collection and reflects the situation in Syria in May 2015. Data collection adheres to a remote assessment methodology whereby partici...pants were selected among Syrian refugees residing in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey to collect data from key informants (KI) they identified within their area of origin in Syria.

The security situation in the Central African Republic (CAR) has remained precarious during the first seven months of 2019. The population is the main victims of the tension and violence exerted in the country despite the Political Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation signed in February 2019. Whil...e the total number of incidents affecting humanitarian organizations has been on decline for the first six months, a sharp increase was observed in July. 159 incidents directly affecting humanitarian staff or assets were witnessed during the period compared to 231 during the same period in 2018. In Bangui alone, five humanitarian vehicles were stolen at gun point in July. The Sub-prefectures of Bambari, Bria, Kaga-Bandoro, Batangafo and Bangui remain the most affected area

The 2018 Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) aimed to assist 10.5 million people with direct assistance and 11.2 million people with improved access to basic services. In an effort to meet humanitarian needs, humanitarian partners provided various types of humanitarian life-saving and life-sustaining... assistance and services to a monthly average of 5.5 million people during 2018. Of the 5.5 million people reached on average on a monthly basis, 2.1 million were people living in areas of high severity of need, as measured through the inter-sector severity scale.
In 2018, these efforts were funded by international support to Syria with $2.19 billion raised (65 per cent of HRP requirements) by the end of the year – more than any previous year. Thanks to this generous support, humanitarian organisations in Syria continued to deliver a massive humanitarian response to people in need with multiple humanitarian crises unfolding across the country.

El Plan de Respuesta Humanitaria tiene como objetivo llegar a 2,6 millones de personas vulnerables hasta finales del año, que representa un número limitado de las personas en necesidad, e incluye 1,2 millones de niñas, niños y adolescentes. Para alcanzar estos objetivos, las Naciones Unidas y su...s socios requieren $223 millones de dólares. El Plan tiene sus fundamentos en la estrategia de escalamiento que se inició en octubre de 2018 por Naciones Unidas para responder a las necesidades humanitarias y de otras iniciativas de respuestas implementadas por otros actores humanitarios. Este Plan permitirá fortalecer las capacidades operacionales de los actores humanitarios y poner las bases para alcanzar una población meta más amplia en 2020. El Plan será actualizado de acuerdo a información disponible, incluyendo nuevas evaluaciones.

• Nearly 110,000 houses have been identified by the authorities as totally destroyed (59,910), partially destroyed (33,925) or floode...d (15,784).
• As of 31 March, nearly 33,000 people had been reached with some type of shelter assistance

In September 2021, the UN and its partners presented a response plan to mitigate the impact of the water crisis in northern and north-east Syria which requested US$200 million to assist up to 3.4 million of the over five million people estimated to be affected by the water crisis in northern Syria b...etween September 2021 and February 2022. Under the auspices of the 2022-2023 Syria Humanitarian Response Plan, this updated water response plan presents the most recent needs based on latest forecasts and is a continuation of the earlier plan presented in 2021. It covers the needs from all response modalities/areas1 for Syria, aims to assist 5 million people until December 2022 and requests $226.2 million.

the current surge in cases follows unprecedented flooding that began in mid-June 2022. With the current flood crisis affecting the national health system capacity and the growing humanitarian situation, there is a high risk of serious health impacts from dengue fever and other concurrent disease out...breaks. High population movement between Pakistan and bordering countries (in particular, Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran) means that the international transmission of dengue fever cannot be ruled out.

From 24 February 2022, when the Russian Federation’s armed attack against Ukraine started, to 30 October 2022, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 16,295 civilian casualties in the country: 6,430 killed and 9,865 injured. This included:
-... a total of 6,430 killed (2,511 men, 1,716 women, 167 girls, and 201 boys, as well as 34 children and 1,801 adults whose sex is yet unknown)
- a total of 9,865 injured (2,107 men, 1,515 women, 205 girls, and 292 boys, as well as 242 children and 5,504 adults whose sex is yet unknown)
- In Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 8,996 casualties (3,833 killed and 5,163 injured)
