The CHS Verification Scheme allows organisations to measure the extent to which they have successfully applied the CHS requirements, and allows them, to demonstrate that they have done so. The Sc...heme offers four verification options; although each option is stand alone, the indicators used in the self-assessment are common to all options.

This map illustrates satellite-detected, potential damaged structures in Muisne, Esmeraldas Province, Ecuador. The analyzed area is located approximately 30 km north of the 16 April 2016 Muisne earthquake mainshock epicenter. This analysis is carried out using Pléiades satellite image acquired 20 A...pril 2016 and a WorldView-3 image acquired 12 March 2016. UNITAR-UNOSAT identified 450 potentially damaged structures of which 139 are destroyed, 206 severely damaged, and 105 moderately damaged. Message: The islands of The Bahamas and Haiti suffered severe impact from the passage of Hurricane Matthew, the 5th named Hurricane of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane season. As a result, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) through the Regional Response Mechanism (RRM) facilitated... the coordination and deployment of regional specialized response teams to provide operational support and damage/needs assessments in the most affected areas in Haiti and The Bahamas. The Caribbean Community will also make targeted relief interventions in the affected Member States.
