Plusieurs pays ont montré qu’il était possible de ralentir voire de stopper la transmission interpersonnelle de la COVID-19. Les principales mesures pour arrêter la transmission sont le dépistage actif des cas, les soins et l’isolement, la recherche... des contacts et la quarantaine. L’OMS a publié des recommandations pour la surveillance mondiale de la COVID-19, qui donnent la définition des cas et des contacts pour la déclaration à l’OMS. En plus de la recherche active des cas et du dépistage, il est essentiel d’intensifier les activités de surveillance pour déterminer si la COVID-19 se transmet au sein de la communauté et pour suivre l’évolution de la transmission communautaire.

Le HCSP a fondé ses recommandations sur les connaissances actuellement disponibles en particulier les publications scientifiques relatives au COVID-19 mais aussi de recommandations relatives à la prise en charge des pneumonies post grippales, et des pneumonies sévères en réanimation.
Cet avi...s du HCSP délivre également des indications sur la prise en charge non spécifique, et de possibles thérapeutiques antivirales, dans l’attente de la mise en place d’essais thérapeutiques académiques afin de progresser dans la connaissance de la maladie. Ces recommandations relatives aux traitements spécifiques seront adaptées en fonction des résultats des essais cliniques lorsqu’ils seront disponibles.

These guidelines combine both preventive and clinical management of the disease in Kenyan context. The protocol borrows various international recommendations including the World Health Organization, from experience of other countries such as China that has struggled with the outbreak for a longer time and from principles of virology and infectious disease management.

These interim IPC recommendations for health settings have been developed through the contributions of many individuals and institutions, such as the Centers for Disease Control-Kenya; ITECH; US Agency for International Development (USAID) Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceu...tical Services (MTaPS) Program; and WHO that are committed to ensuring that the transmission of COVID-19 to HCWs and the public within the health care setting is limited. Update) Das RKI empfiehlt ein generelles Tragen einer Mund-Nasen-Bedeckung (MNB) in bestimmten Situationen im öffentl...ichen Raum als einen weiteren Baustein, um Risikogruppen zu schützen und den Infektionsdruck und damit die Ausbreitungsgeschwindigkeit von COVID-19 in der Bevölkerung zu reduzieren. Diese Empfehlung beruht auf einer Neubewertung aufgrund der zunehmenden Evidenz, dass ein hoher Anteil von Übertragungen unbemerkt erfolgt, und zwar bereits vor dem Auftreten von Krankheitssymptomen. Ziel des im Epidemiologischen Bulletin 19/2020 veröffentlichten Artikels ist es, eine kurze Übersicht zum fachlichen Hintergrund der Empfehlung zu geben und zu erläutern, welche Dinge hierbei zu berücksichtigen sind.
