Objectifs du Millénaire pour le Développement, la participation
communautaire est devenue une réalité incontournable. Dans
la zone sanitaire Avrankou Adjarra Ak...pro-Missérété (3A) du
département de l’Ouémé, les relais sont appuyés par l’UNICEF
et l’ONG Africare. L’objectif de notre travail a été d’étudier
la qualité de l’apport des relais dans la mise en oeuvre de la
PCIME-Communautaire.

Introduction: With the growing shortage of qualified healthcare
professionals and the challenge of achieving the Millennium
Development Goals, community participation has become an
essential reality. In the Avrankou Adjarra Akpro-Missérété (3A)
health zone of the Ouémé department, community volunteers are
supported by UNICEF and the NGO Africare. The objective of this
study was to assess the quality of the contribution of community
volunteers to implementation of community-based integrated
management of childhood illness (IMCI).

Ce rapport présente les résultats clés de la quatrième Enquête Démographique et de Santé du Bénin (EDSB-IV), qui a été réalisée de décembre 2011 à mars 2012 par l’Institut National de la Statistique et de l’Analyse Économique (INSAE) sous la tutelle du Ministère du Développement..., de l’Analyse Économique et de la Prospective, en collaboration avec les services techniques du ministère de la Santé, le Programme National de Lutte contre le Sida (PNLS), le Laboratoire de Parasitologie du Centre National Hospitalier et Universitaire Hubert Maga (CNHU) et le Laboratoire de référence du Programme National de Lutte contre le Sida et les IST (PNLS). In this article a cluster randomized cross-sectional survey, conducted in Albay Province in the Philippines in April 2016, was used to assess the prevalence of disability and access to support services. This was done with the purpose of generating representative data for local programme development.... A cross-sectional survey was carried out with the WG/UNICEF methodology to examine the prevalence of disabilities, and the accessibility and coverage of relevant services. The aim is for this information to be used for public policy formulation at all levels, as well as to improve communication and advocacy on disabilities.

The primary purpose of this document is to provide 3MDG stakeholders with some essential information on the MNCH core-indicators for 3MDG, which were derived from the 3MDG Logical Framework, Data Dictionary for Health Service Indicators (2014 June, DoPH, MoH), A ...Guide for Monitoring and Evaluating Child Health Programmes (MEASURE Evaluation, September 2005) and Monitoring Emergency Obstetric Care (WHO/UNICEF/UNFPA/AMDD). Partners are strongly encouraged to integrate the MNCH indicators into their ongoing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities.
These indicators are designed to help Partners assess the current state of their activities, their progress towards achieving their targets, and contribution towards the national response. This guideline is designed to improve the quality and consistency of data collected at the township level, which will enhance the accuracy of conclusions drawn when the data are aggregated.

Primary health care, as outlined in the 1978 Declaration of Alma-Ata and again 40 years later in the 2018 WHO/UNICEF document A vision for primary health care in the 21st century: towards universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals, is a whole-of-government and whole-of-society a...pproach to health that combines the following three components: multisectoral policy and action; empowered people and communities; and primary care and essential public health functions as the core of integrated health services.(1) Primary health care-oriented health systems are health systems organized and operated so as to make the right to the highest attainable level of health the main goal, while maximizing equity and solidarity. They are composed of a core set of structural and functional elements that support achieving universal coverage and access to services that are acceptable to the population and that are equity enhancing. The term “primary care” refers to a key process in the health system that supports first-contact, accessible, continued, comprehensive and coordinated patient-focused care.

The backsliding of immunization coverage during the COVID-19 pandemic, combined with delayed catch-up efforts has resulted in a large and growing immunity gap. There is an urgent need to close this gap, and enable millions of missed children to be vaccinated. The Essential Immunization Recovery Plan... sets out a path to getting immunization back on track, framed by three key approaches – Catch-Up, Restore and Strengthen. This document serves as the joint strategic description of this coordinated effort by WHO, UNICEF, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, along with the Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) Partnership, to support countries to plan and implement intensified efforts to bolster immunization programmes in 2023 and beyond.

Yet, children with developmental disabilities have been neglected in health systems planning and policy provisions for health and continue to experience stigmatization, institutionalization, barriers to access health care and inequalities in health and educatio...n outcomes.
Using findings from research and practice and guided by the tenets of international human rights conventions, this WHO-UNICEF Global Report on children with developmental disabilities provides principles and approaches to intentionally include the needs and aspirations of children and young people with developmental disabilities in policy, programming and public health monitoring. It makes the case for greater accountability and proposes 10 priority actions to accelerate changes towards inclusive environments and responsive multisectoral care systems for children with developmental disabilities.
