MedPPE emphasizes the role and timing of health workers jobs and offers specific information to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The guidelines are aimed at all personnel working in health facilities, including security guards, administrative and cleaning personnel, transfer assistants, nurses, biome...dical and imaging technicians, surgeons, and physicians, among others.
MedPPE provides guidance for the use of PPE according to workers’ function, the level of care they provide, and the multiple environments of primary health care and hospitals. The tool also clarifies the type of PPE needed when performing aerosol-generating procedures and other activities related to the care of patients infected or suspected of being infected with COVID-19.
However, use of PPE alone is not enough to protect against COVID-19. Hand hygiene and proper PPE dressing and undressing procedures must also be followed, along with the proper disposal and management of waste.
MedPPE is available in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French for iOS and Android devices.

ANHE is a group of nurses from all walks of our profession – hospital-based, public health, sch...ool-based, academics, and advanced practice, to name a few. ANHE is helping to integrate environmental health into nursing education, greening our many workplaces, incorporating environmental exposure questions into our patient histories, providing anticipatory guidance to pregnant women and parents about environmental risks to children, implementing research that addresses environmental health questions, and advocating for environmental health in our workplaces and governmental institutions.

No health system can claim to be free of avoidable infections. These avoidable infections, acquired through health care practices, affect patients, their families and health workers, in many different ways.
Every year, millions of patients are affected by infections transmitted during their stay in a health-care facility, where resistant germs are often transferred via the hands of health workers. Resistance to antimicrobials reduces or impedes the effectiveness of any treatment for the prevention and ...cure of infections. Hand hygiene is the most effective intervention to reduce transmission of infections and resistant germs. The World Health Organization recommends the 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene. Watch this video produced by WHO's Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean to learn more about Hand Hygiene and the WHO 5 moments !
