There are 4 main forms of the disease: visceral leishmaniasis (VL, also known as kala-azar); post-kala-azar dermal leishmania...sis (PKDL); cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL); and mucocutaneous leishmaniasis (MCL). While cutaneous leishmaniasis is the most common form of the disease, visceral leishmaniasis is the most serious and can be fatal if untreated. Additionally, leishmaniasis can be classified as anthroponotic or zoonotic depending on whether the natural reservoir of the parasite is human or animal.
This report updates global epidemiological information on VL and CL to 2015, based on the main indicators published in the GHO, as of 1st September 2017.

Ces lignes directrices prônent une approche centrée sur la personne des informations stratégiques sur le VIH, ce qui implique de cesser de collecter des données agrégées dans les services (par exemple, le nombre de tests de dépistage du VIH administrés) pour s’intéresser au patient qui re...çoit une cascade de services liés entre eux, afin d’améliorer les soins prodigués aux patients et les résultats sanitaires.
Elles réunissent les orientations données en matière de systèmes de suivi des patients et de cas d’infection à VIH dans le cadre du système de surveillance de santé publique. Elles recommandent le recours à un identifiant unique pour le patient, afin d'établir une liaison entre tous les services de santé, ce qui permet de mesurer la cascade de services sur la durée.

Elles sont aussi utilisées, ainsi que les documents associés, par comme source d’informations sur la qualité et l’hygiène de l’eau et sur les stratégies de gestion efficaces.

L’ampleur de la résistance aux insecticides chez les vecteurs du paludisme met en péril l’efficacité des programmes de lutte anti-vectorielle. Si cette résistance n’est pas atténuée, le taux de morbidité palustre va s’accroître, entraînant une hausse significative des coûts liés ... la prévention de la maladie. Ce nouveau cadre est un guide pour l’élaboration d’un plan national de suivi et de gestion de la résistance aux insecticides chez les vecteurs du paludisme, lequel doit considéré comme partie intégrante du plan stratégique national de lutte contre le paludisme.

Ce guide se concentre sur le processus impliqué dans l’adoption de nouvelles attitudes et développe une stratégie de conscientisation et de mobilisation social...e visant à l’appropriation des populations de la lutte contre le paludisme à travers le pays. Au-delà du personnel sanitaire chargé de programmes sur le paludisme, la campagne s’adresse directement aux habitants des communautés bénéficiaires. Ainsi, elle tient compte des orientations du plan stratégique national de lutte contre le paludisme.
