Le présent guide de formation sur la prise en charge globale des personnes vivant avec le VIH est désormais à la disposition des personnels paramédicaux, des écoles et structures de formation de ces personnels dans la région africaine francophone. Il a été conçu par des experts africains et... français rompus à la formation et engagés depuis de nombreuses années dans la lutte contre le VIH. Il a été testé, amendé et corrigé par un collège de paramédicaux. Il allie clarté, simplicité et intègre l’ensemble des standards internationaux en matière de prise en charge globale, tout en restant proche des réalités concrètes de l’exercice professionnel sur le terrain africain. Il constitue, j’en suis convaincu, un outil de grande qualité au service des professionnels de santé paramédicaux et devrait s’imposer rapidement comme un référentiel francophone incontournable pour la prise en charge globale des personnes vivant avec le VIH.

Les résultats des enquêtes réalisées en Afrique subsaharienne montrent que seulement 12 % des hommes et 10 % des femmes ont bénéficié d’un dépistage du VIH et en ont reçu le résultat. En RCA, selon le rapport de l’Accès Universel 2009, 4 % des personnes de plus de 15 ans ont fait un t...est de dépistage dans les 12 derniers mois dans le pays et qui sont revenus chercher leurs résultats.

Este documento brinda orientaciones y directrices técnicas para mantener las acciones para la prevención y control de la tuberculosis (TB), ante la coyuntura que representa la pandemia del COVID-19 en Colombia, de conformidad con las directrices y recomendaciones emitidas por la Organización Mund...ial de la Salud (OMS), Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS) y demás organismos internacionales, que generan recomendaciones en la respuesta integrada a estos eventos de alto impacto para la salud pública. Estas recomendaciones están dirigidas a los diferentes agentes del sistema de salud tales como: entidades territoriales del orden departamental, municipal y distrital, empresas administradoras de planes de beneficios, prestadores de servicios de salud, trabajadores de la salud, agentes comunitarios y demás implicados en las acciones para la prevención y control de la tuberculosis y el COVID-19.

El presente documento tiene un alcance nacional, y es de aplicación en Instituciones Prestadoras de Servicios de Salud del Ministerio de Salud, Seguro Social de Salud, establecimientos penitenciarios, organizaciones no gubernamentales y entidades privadas que atienden personas viviendo con VIH.

La publicación consiste en un instrumento de gestión, que permite unificar los criterios de manejo clínico operacional en la lucha contra la tuberculosis y contribuye a que esta enfermedad deja de ser un problema de salud pública en nuestro país.

La pandemia de covid-19 ha afectado la detección y tratamiento de pacientes con TBC en Paraguay que lejos de ser una enfermedad erradicada, es motivo de preocupación sanitaria y sigue afectando a miles de ...personas, si bien se inician actividades de campo con apoyo del PNCT para la búsqueda activa, seguimiento de casos y control de contactos en comunidades indígenas y asentamientos, estas tareas no son continuas debido al aumento de los casos de covid-19 en el país, que favorece el temor a acudir a los hospitales para el diagnóstico, a sus controles e incluso se ve afectado el retiro de los medicamentos. En el marco de la pandemia, es probable que aumenten los fracasos terapéuticos con el consiguiente desenlace fatal, por lo que debe hacerse una revisión de las estrategias dirigidas a poblaciones vulnerables con un compromiso verdadero del sector político, sumado a una fuerte colaboración multisectorial e intercultural para lograr el fin de la TBC
