Esta primera versión fue elaborada por pacientes, investigadores y otras personas, en representación d...e todas las regiones de la OMS, en el entendimiento de que la definición puede cambiar a medida que surjan nuevas pruebas y siga evolucionando nuestra comprensión de las consecuencias de la COVID-19.
La afección posterior a la COVID-19 se produce en personas con antecedentes de infección probable o confirmada por el CoV-2 del SRAS, normalmente a los 3 meses de la aparición de la COVID-19 con síntomas y que duran al menos 2 meses y no pueden explicarse por un diagnóstico alternativo. Los síntomas más comunes son la fatiga, la dificultad respiratoria y la disfunción cognitiva, pero también otros, y generalmente tienen un impacto en el funcionamiento diario. Los síntomas pueden ser de nueva aparición tras la recuperación inicial de un episodio agudo de COVID-19 o persistir desde la enfermedad inicial. Los síntomas también pueden fluctuar o recaer con el tiempo.

Nesta série Informação para Ação na Covid-19 será apresentado um balanço do conjunto de documentos (notas e relatórios técnicos, boletins, ensaios, informes, recomendações, ensaios, artigos, entre outros) produzidos em resposta à pandemia. Cada volume da série se estrutura em torno de um tema: aspectos globais da pandemia e da diplomacia em saúde; cenários epidemiológicos e vigilância em saúde; as políticas e a gestão dos serviços e sistemas de saúde; orientações para os cuidados e a saúde dos trabalhadores da saúde; impactos sociais e desigualdades sociais na pandemia. Background: Healthcare workers’ mental health was affected by SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
Aim: To evaluate healthcare workers’ mental health and its associated factors during the pandemic in Chile. Material and Methods: An online self-reported questionnaire was designed including the Goldberg Healt...h Questionnaire, the Patient Health
Questionnaire, (PHQ-9), and the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale among other questions. It was sent to 28,038 healthcare workers.
Results: The questionnaire was answered by 1,934 participants, with a median age of 38 years (74% women). Seventy five percent were professionals, and 48% worked at a hospital. Fifty nine percent of respondents had a risk of having a mental health disorder, and 73% had depressive symptoms. Significant associations were found with sex, workplace, and some of the relevant experiences during the pandemic. Fifty one
percent reported the need for mental health support, and 38% of them received it.
Conclusions: There is a high percentage of health workers with symptoms of psychological distress, depression, and suicidal ideas. The gender approach is essential to understand the important differences found. Many health workers who required mental health care did not seek or received it.
