The main objective of these guidelines is to provide guidance on up-to-date, uniform, evidence-informed practices for suspecting, diagnosing and managing various forms of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) at all levels of healthcare delivery. The 3rd edition includes new chapters on MDR-TB, adverse effects of TB drugs, adherence monitoring strategies, and nutritional support. This study aimed to estimate the proportion of Mozambicans eligible for pharmacological treatment for hypertension according to single risk factor and total cardiovascular risk approaches. It concluded that a total of 19.8% of 40–64-year-olds would be eligible for pharmacological treatment of hype...rtension according to the WHO guidelines, all of whom had SBP/DBP at least 160/100 mmHg.

While humanitarian action to mitigate the impact of disasters will always be vitally important, the community is facing critical challenge- how to better anticipate, manage and reduce - disaster risks by integrating the potential threat into its planning and... policies at the community level. This manual aims to improve the capacity of the Panchayati Raj Institutions - the local self government and communities that face hazards due to environmental reasons. To help such capacity development efforts, we need learning materials focusing on key areas - water supply, environmental sanitation for better disaster management and preparedness.
