Active case-finding (ACF) or systematic screening for tuberculosis is an important tool to reach out to missing TB patients. La tuberculosis (TB) es una enfermedad infectocontagiosa que causa una enfermedad crónica, afectando principalmente a los pulmones. Esta enfermedad tiene un importante componente social, debido a que se asocia a la pobreza y al hacinamiento por inadecuadas condiciones de vivienda, transporte público o ambientes laborales, sobre todo en grandes ciudades.
