This needs to be backed up by policies that enable sufficient quantities to be procured in order to reduce cost inefficiencies, ensure the reliability and security of the distribution system, and encourage the appropriate use of these health products. In order to avoid stock-outs and the disruption of treatment, all related activities need to be conducted in a timely manner, with performance continually monitored, and prompt action taken in response to problems that may arise. Additionally, medication must be dispensed correctly and used rationally by the healthcare provider and patient alike. The purpose of this guide is to explain the necessary steps.

primary health care. The process of implementing HEARTS will vary, depending
on country context, and may require a significant reorienting and strengthening
of the health system. At some sites, existing CVD management services may be
reoriented toward a risk-based approach, while other sites may adopt a public
health approach, strengthening management of particular risk factors such as
hypertension. Whether or not introducing CVD management into primary care is a
new intervention, successful implementation will require engagement with national and local health planners, managers, service providers, and other stakeholders.

Children malnutrition eradication in developing countries is a real challenge, especially among

impact of mothers’ activities on child nutrition and care. Interviews were used to collect data from
mothers of children less than 5 years old. Pearson correlation test and regression models were
performed to highlight relation and to identify the main factors that affect child nutrition and care. The
nutritional statuses of children show a high prevalence of underweight (38.46%), emaciation (25.17%)
and stunting (23.77%). Statistic results show that a child whose mother has food processing as main
activity has 2,322 more times to not suffer from emaciation malnutrition compared to a child whose
mother has trade as main activity. A child whose mother has high revenue has 1.463 more times to
not be suffering from stunting malnutrition compared to a child whose mother has lower revenue. A
child whose father has fishing as main activity has 8,4 more chance to not be suffering from stunting
malnutrition compared to a child whose father has another activity as main activity. A child whose
father is present in the household has 8.11 more chance to not suffer from stunting malnutrition

A single hurricane event can affect more than one island, and completely erase the gains of many years of productivity. As a result, these unpredictable hazards create disruption and have an ongoing impact on people’s lives - affecting their mental health and psychosocial well-being.
Although everyone is affected in some way by disaster events, there are a wide range of reactions and feelings that a person can experience. People may feel overwhelmed, confused or very uncertain about what is happening. They can also feel very fearful, anxious, numb or detached. People who feel safe, connected, calm and hopeful, have access to social, physical and emotional support and find ways to help themselves after a disaster, however, will be better able to recover long-term from mental health effects

It is also important to provide for the safe and effective use of veterinary antimicrobial drugs in veterinary medicine by maintaining their efficacy. Deux CSLS successifs couvrant les périodes 2001-2005 et 2006 – 2010 ont été mis en œuvre contribuant de manière significative à baisser et à stabiliser la progression de la pandémie, en ramenant le taux de séroprévalence de 7,17% en 1997 à 0.90% en fin 2014 selon les estimations de l’ONUSIDA. Malgré cette évolution positive, le Burkina Faso demeure en situation d’épidémie généralisée. Ce même rapport mentionne que le nombre de PVVIH est estimé à 110.000, dont 57.000 femmes. 75.000 enfants sont estimés orphelins du fait du Sida. L’EDS IV réalisée en 2010 note que la prévalence en population générale présente des disparités selon le sexe. En effet, les femmes ont une prévalence de 1.2% contre 0.8% chez les hommes d’où un ratio H/F de 1.5 confirmant ainsi la théorie de la féminisation de l’infection pour des raisons à la fois socio-économiques et biologiques. Une étude récente conduite par le SP/CNLS ciblant les travailleuses du sexe (TS) a montré une prévalence au VIH de 16,19%, c’est à dire plus de 16 fois celle en population générale.
