Excessive consumption of salt (more than 5 g per day) raises blood pressure, a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke, and is the leading cause of death in the WHO European Region. Many countries in the Region have initiated national salt reduction strategies,... including public awareness campaigns, reformulation, and front-of-pack nutrition labelling. However, despite ongoing efforts, surveillance data indicate that salt intake still far exceeds the limits recommended by WHO to protect health.

To further enhance accessibility and quality of services, capacity buildingof health cadres is critical. В ней б...ыла провозглашена цель к 2030 г. добиться элиминации вирусных гепатитов как угрозы общественному здоровью путем реализации (с достаточным уровнем охвата) пяти следующих основных вмешательств: иммунизация против гепатита B; профилактика передачи вируса гепатита B (ВГВ) от матери ребенку; обеспечение безопасности донорской крови и инъекций; принятие мер снижения вреда для людей, употребляющих инъекционные наркотики; предоставление услуг тестирования и лечения. Механизм ВОЗ по мониторингу и оценке в отношении вирусных гепатитов B и C соответствует подходу, ориентированному на результаты, который учитывает такие факторы, как контекст (распространенность инфекции), вкладываемые ресурсы, промежуточные и итоговые результаты (включая каскад мер профилактики, тестирования и лечения) и исходы (заболеваемость и смертность). Системы данных, необходимые для функционирования этого механизма, включают (i) эпиднадзор за ост-рыми гепатитами, случаями хронической инфекции и последствиями;* (ii) оперативные сведения, документирующие меры профилактики, тести-рования и лечения, которые включают каскад услуг медицинской помощи.

Cognizant of the need for standardization of the response for COVID-19, the Federal Ministry of Health prepared this national guideline in an effort to contain the epidemic before it overwhelms the health care facilities. This national guideline is expected to guide policy makers and h...ealth professionals at all level. A standardized approaches to will assist effective and efficient utilization of the limited resource of the country, minimizes dilemma and confusion on case management. To this effect, the FMOH has established National COVID-19 advisory committee. The committee members are from different specialties with very good experiences in disaster management and prevention and treatment of infectious disease epidemics. The input from the committee is used to make decisions at the national level about theepidemics in the weeks and months to come. The FMOH would like to acknowledge the members of the national advisory committee for their commitment and unreserved effort in finalizing the task in a very short period of time and advising the Ministry on various issues related to the epidemics at this critical time.

In total 152 people living with disabilities participated in the discussion groups.Results from the assessment were analysed based on themes and are presented by each group in the following report.
