Finally, the report provides guidance on how to address its findings through policy action.
The study was conducted through a bilateral partnership between the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (WHO registration 2015/591370 and 2017/698514) and the Institute of Public Health of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The study was funded through a voluntary contribution of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, and through a contribution made by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)/Swiss Government to a joint WHO/SDC project, “Reducing Health Risk Factors in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Developing and Advancing Modern and Sustainable Public Health Strategies, Capacities and Services to Improve Population Health”, implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

В мае 2016 г. Всемирная ассамблея здравоохранения приняла первую Глобальную стратегию сектора здравоохранения (ГССЗ) по проблеме вирусных гепатитов. В ней б...ыла провозглашена цель к 2030 г. добиться элиминации вирусных гепатитов как угрозы общественному здоровью путем реализации (с достаточным уровнем охвата) пяти следующих основных вмешательств: иммунизация против гепатита B; профилактика передачи вируса гепатита B (ВГВ) от матери ребенку; обеспечение безопасности донорской крови и инъекций; принятие мер снижения вреда для людей, употребляющих инъекционные наркотики; предоставление услуг тестирования и лечения. Механизм ВОЗ по мониторингу и оценке в отношении вирусных гепатитов B и C соответствует подходу, ориентированному на результаты, который учитывает такие факторы, как контекст (распространенность инфекции), вкладываемые ресурсы, промежуточные и итоговые результаты (включая каскад мер профилактики, тестирования и лечения) и исходы (заболеваемость и смертность). Системы данных, необходимые для функционирования этого механизма, включают (i) эпиднадзор за ост-рыми гепатитами, случаями хронической инфекции и последствиями;* (ii) оперативные сведения, документирующие меры профилактики, тести-рования и лечения, которые включают каскад услуг медицинской помощи.

A new global Police Handbook aims to address some of the most difficult challenges that survivors of violence face when accessing police and justice sector services around the world.
Abstract-The paper precisely and briefly explains the socio-economic challenges of persons with disabilities with focus on Ethiopia. The findings of the paper also indicates that, across the countries persons with disabilities have poorer health accesses, lower education achievements,... less social and economic participation and less rate of income than Persons disabilities experience barriers in accessing services that many of us have long taken for granted, including health, education, employment, transport and information as well as rehabilitation. These difficulties are exacerbated with high level of disability disadvantaged individuals. Based on the findings of this study, major socio-economic remedy directions are recommended which will be included in future policy enactment and implementations.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance plays an important role in the early detection of resistant strains of public health importance and prompt response to outbreaks in hospitals and the community. Surveillance findings are needed to inform medical practice, antibiotic stewardship, and policy... and interventions to combat AMR. Appropriate use of antimicrobials, informed by surveillance, improves patients’ treatment outcomes and reduces the emergence and spread of AMR. This protocol describes the steps and procedures to establish/enhance AMR surveillance in Latin America and the Caribbean.
