Some 32% of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ukraine suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the conflict in the east.
Among the 2,203 respondents surveyed across Ukraine, the study also found a high prevalence of mental disorders such as depression (22%) and anxiety ...(17%), particularly among women. This has a significant effect on family and community relations, the ability to work or even do basic tasks such as walking.
Moreover, the study noted that 74% of respondents in need of psychiatric care do not receive it, mainly due to a high cost of mental healthcare and medicine.

Risk factors for noncommunicable diseases in Ukraine in 2019. This document summarizes the findings of the STEPS survey in Ukraine and compares them with the results of STEPS surveys carried out in other countries in the WHO European Region, as well as with selected other surveys in Ukraine. The sur...vey is designed to be repeated approximately every five years in each country to allow assessment of trends.
The study revealed very high prevalence of NCDs and their behavioural and biological risk factors in Ukraine. Data on behavioural risk factors include tobacco and alcohol use, diet, and physical activity. Data on biological risk factors include overweight and obesity, blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood lipid levels.

This report reviews and analyses the Affordable Medicines Programme, which was introduced in Ukraine in April 2017 to provide patients with improved access to 23 outpatient medicines for the treatment of chronic noncommunicable diseases. The evaluation combines both quantitative and qualitative anal...ysis. The findings confirm that the Programme has contributed to a significant increase in access to needed outpatient medicines in Ukraine. Further, while implementation was successful overall, uptake across regions was uneven. The report concludes by listing a number of policy options to support the sustainability and expansion of the Affordable Medicines Programme.

Economic output in the Europe and Central Asia region is forecast to contract by more than 4.1% in 2022—the... second major shock and regional recession in two years. Moreover, the war has added to mounting concerns of a sharp global growth slowdown.

Mit, nach den Angaben der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO), 17.533 gemeldeten und 32.000 (21.000-45.000) geschätzten Tuberkulosefällen verzeichnete die Ukraine im Jahr 2020 eine der höchsten Tuberkulose-Inzidenzen in der europäischen WHO-Region.

UNICEF delivers water and hygiene supplies to support 3 million people in Ukraine
InfoSapiens research agency, commissioned by USAID Economic Resilience Activity, conducted a telephone survey in different regions of Ukraine in August 2022. A total of 1,000 women and men aged 16 to 60+ were asked about access to the Internet, jobs, gender-based violence, and business prospects dur...ing the war.
Almost half – 45% of people – responded that they do not have access to the Internet or a computer and cannot study or work online.
One in five respondents is forced to save on groceries or borrow to buy something other than food (telephone, furniture).
