Water security, or having the right amount and quality of water in the right place at the right time, fosters social and economic progress. Where water is sufficient to meet demand, it can promote economy wide growth and enable countries to reach their food security, energy security, and human devel...opment goals. Where it is scarce, excessive, or unclean it can exacerbate multiple dimensions of poverty. The Pocket Guide to Managing Contraceptive Supplies addresses one of

quality, and storage of contraceptive supplies. These supplies are
essential; without them, f...amily planning services cannot be provided.
This guide is for the staff of family planning or health clinics who
manage contraceptive supplies and for the supervisor who oversees
these logistics activities. This booklet is not a complete logistics text;
its purpose is to be a quick reference for logistics formulas and
principles to help you manage your supplies (both contraceptives and
other commodities) correctly and efficiently.

Myanmar introduced Child Death Surveillance and Response (CDSR) in 2015 as an initiative to reduce child (under-5) mortality, an initiative that will contribute to the country’s efforts to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Technical Guidelines for CDSR were devel...oped in 2015 followed by the development of Training Package in 2016. An Implementation Plan was made in 2016; and this led to all townships implementing CDSR in early 2017. After one year of implementation an assessment was carried out in early 2018.
The assessment was conducted in 3 region/states – Ayeyarwaddy, Magway, Shan South, with information gathered from the state/region, district, township and basic health unit levels. In addition a caretaker interview was conducted to see health-seeking behavior. In addition to these three regions/states, information was also gathered from three other regions/states but only at the region/state level – Mandalay, Yangon, Kachin.
