Viele Sendeorganisationen und Reiseveranstalter richten ihre Angebote immer stärker an den Wüns...chen der Reisenden aus, die sich nur kurzzeitig in erlebnisorientierten Projekten engagieren möchten. Be-reits in unserer ersten Ausgabe 2015 haben wir 44 Angebo-te auf dem deutschsprachigen Markt näher betrachtet: Entwicklungspolitisches Lernen durch eine intensive Vor- und Nachbereitung, effektiver Kindesschutz und die Zu-sammenarbeit mit lokalen Organisationen auf Augenhö-he sind, so das Ergebnis unserer Recherche, noch lange keine Standards bei den Kurzaufenthalte für Freiwillige.

Il montre également comment les investissements dans les agents de santé communautaires exploitent efficacement le dividende démographique, réduisent l’inégalité entre les sexes et accélèrent la croissance économique et le développement. En effet, les avantages des agents de santé communautaires s’étendent sur l’ensemble du programme de développement durable.

SHOPS and HIA finalized a scope of work with USAID Senegal in April 2015, and a team of five private sector experts conducted the onsite assessments between May and June 2015. The Private Sector Assessment (PSA) team worked closely with Senegalese key stakeholders throughout the process. The PSA tea...m interviewed more than120 individuals from approximately 78 organizations, including the government of Senegal (GOS), donors, USAID implementing partners, private sector umbrella organizations, private insurance companies, faith-based organizations (FBOs), nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), private health care facilities, and private pharmacies.
Through stakeholder interviews and review of government reports and online resources, the assessment team noted the following findings by theme.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) and intermittent preventive treatment in pregnancy (IPTp) as a cost-effective intervention for the prevention of malaria during pregnancy in endemic areas. This study was conducted to investigate: (1) the exten...t of use of both IPTp and ITNs, and (2) conduct multinomial regression to identify factors affecting the optimal usage of IPTp and ITNs among women with a recent pregnancy in Senegal.

High quality of care in family planning (FP) services has been found to be associated with increased and continued use of contraceptive methods. The interpersonal skills and technical competence of the provider is one of the main components of quality of care. To study the process component of quali...ty of care, the distribution of the FP counseling topics was examined by client, provider and facility characteristics. To assess the outcomes of quality of care, client satisfaction and their knowledge of their method’s protection from STIs were used. This study examined the factors associated with these outcomes with a focus on provider counseling and training.
