Настоящий документ должен использоваться местными, региональными или национальными органами здравоохранения в качестве свода принципов, применяемых при расследовании случаев заболевания COVID-19. Его не следует рассматривать как всестороннее руководство по расследованию вспышек заболеваний. Существуют подробные рекомендации по расследованию вспышек заболеваний, вызванных другими респираторными патогенами, включая MERS-CoV и грипп.
