The Demographic Dividend study on Rwanda assessed the socio-economic and human development potential of our country in the short, medium and long-term period using a comprehensive approach. It generated relevant policy and programme information to guide a well-informed polciy required to propel Rwan...da towards achieving its aspirations of being high middle income country by 2035 and high income country by 2050.
The primary objectives of this study were to assess Rwanda’s prospects for harnessing the demographic dividend and demonstrate priority policy and programme options that the country should adopt in order to optimise its chances of earning a maximum demographic dividend in the context of its youthful population and medium, long-term socio-economic development aspirations.

L’enseignement des soins infirmiers se fait sous la tutelle du ministère de la Santé et de la Prévention médicale.Il est en pleine effervescence,mais seulement avec deux niveaux de formation.
- En premier lieu,il y a la formation initiale qu’une seule institution nationale a assurée de 195...2 à 1992.Avec la pénurie de la main-d’œuvre et la libéralisation de l’éducation,le Sénégal fait face depuis une quinzaine d’années à l’ouverture effrénée d’écoles privées dont la majorité dispose d’un agrément du ministère de la Santé.Le diplôme requis à l’entrée dans ces institutions de formation est le baccalauréat de l’enseignement général (13 ans de scolarité).La durée des études est de trois années sanctionnées par un diplôme d’État d’infirmier délivré par le ministère de la Santé et de la Prévention médicale,pour les diplômés des secteurs public et privé. - En deuxième lieu,il y a la formation continue spécialisée,dans les huit filières suivantes:enseignement et administration,anesthésie et réanimation,kinésithérapie,biologie,imagerie médicale,odontologie,ophtalmologie et néphrologie.Elle est offerte sur une période de deux ans,par l’École nationale de développement sanitaire et social (ENDSS).Le profil de sortie permet aux soignants d’exercer leur profession spécialisée avec le diplôme de technicien supérieur de santé.

In 1964 medical mission was challenged and called to define its distinctiveness and its special role in the context of that particular time. The consultation "Tuebingen I" clearly stated: "The Christian church has a specific task in the field of health and healing"1, and developed a conce...pt of wholeness and of the role of the congregation in health provision. 50 years later, the question of the proprium of Christian health services is again a very important one. At a time when governments, international non-governmental organizations and other philanthropic organizations participate in health care, the question has to be asked: What is the specific contribution of a Christian health service or ministry of healing? At a time when chronic disease challenges not only rich but now also poor countries, when infections like Ebola that for years were hidden in Africa pose a threat to the global situation, Christians have to reflect on the question of the proprium of Christian health care.

The well-being of children in sub-Saharan Africa is under siege from all directions since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. The region is now suffering its first-ever economic recession, pushing about 50 million people into extreme poverty, a majority of whom are children.
The COVID-19 pandemic led to school closures around the world, affecting almost 1.6 billion students. The effects of even short disruptions in a child’s schooling on their learning and well-being have been shown to be acute and long lasting. The capacities of education systems to respond to the cr...isis by delivering remote learning and support to children and families have been diverse yet uneven.
This report reviews the emerging evidence on remote learning throughout the global school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic to help guide decision-makers to build more effective, sustainable, and resilient education systems for current and future crises.
