A handbook for district and health facility staff
The primary objective of the 2015-16 MDHS project is to provide up-to-date estimates of basic demographic and health indicators. Specifically, the MDHS collected information on fertility levels, marriage, fertility preferences, awareness and use of family planning methods, breastfeeding practices, n...utrition, maternal and child health and mortality, awareness and behavior regarding HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other health-related issues such as smoking and knowledge of tuberculosis. As the 2015-16 MDHS is the first DHS survey in the country, trend analysis is not carried out in this report.

économiques et culturelles. Le rapport final de l'enquête devrait être publié en Novembre 2016.

Afin de mesurer le niveau et les tendances des indicateurs relatifs à la situation des enfants et des femmes, l'UNICEF a élaboré, depuis les années 1990, le programme mondial des enquêtes MICS. Ce programme international permet une comparabilité des indicateurs entre les différents pays. Cett...e enquête dénommé MICS Urbaine Dakar fait suite aux MICS1 et MICS2 réalisées respectivement en 1996 et 2000. Les résultats présentés dans ce rapport constituent à la fois une évaluation des progrès réalisés dans le respect des engagements convenus au niveau international par l’Etat du Sénégal, et une situation de référence pour le suivi des Objectifs de Développement Durable à l’horizon 2030.

Antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents are invaluable life savers, particularly in resource-limited countries where infectious diseases are abundant. Both uncomplicated and severe infections are potentially curable as long as the aetiological agents are susceptible to the ...antimicrobial drugs. The rapid rate with which antimicrobial agents are becoming ineffective due to resistance acquired as a result of unchecked overuse and misuse threatens to undo the benefit of controlling infections. The evidence for resistant microorganisms, many times to more than a single antimicrobial agent, has been observed globally. In Tanzania, there is evidence in the form of few scattered studies conducted in different parts of the country in a multitude of settings including health care facilities, the community, domesticated animals and wild animals

Ce rapport présente les résultats clés de la cinquième Enquête Démographique et de Santé du Cameroun
(EDSC-V) réalisée sur le terrain du 16 juin 2018 au 19 janvier 2019, par l’Institut National de la Statistique
(INS), en étroite collaboration avec le Ministère de la Santé Publique. ...L’enquête a été financée par le
Gouvernement camerounais, l’Agence des États-Unis pour le Développement International (USAID), le Fonds
des Nations Unies pour la Population (UNFPA) et le Fonds Mondial à travers le Programme National de Lutte
contre le Paludisme (PNLP). D’autres institutions ont également apporté leur expertise à la réalisation de cette
opération. Parmi elles figurent le Centre Pasteur du Cameroun (CPC) pour l’analyse des prélèvements sanguins
afin d’estimer la prévalence du VIH, et le Centre International de Référence Chantal Biya (CIRCB) pour le
contrôle de qualité externe des tests du VIH. ICF a fourni l’assistance technique à l’ensemble du projet par le
biais du Programme Mondial des Enquêtes Démographiques et de Santé, The DHS Program, financé par
l’USAID, et dont l’objectif est de fournir un soutien et une assistance technique aux pays du monde entier pour
la réalisation des enquêtes sur la population et la santé.
