The Society strongly endorses internationally recognised human rights standards, particularly in medical practice and research as set out in the Declaration of Tokyo, 1975 and the Declaration of Helsinki, 2008. The Society is opposed to all forms of discrimination on the grounds of nationality, race, religion or sex. The Society was registered as a non-profit company in South Africa in 2002. more
