Understanding the reproductive health needs of conflict-affected women will enable organizations to implement and enhance programs and services to improve the health of women and their fam...ilies. The Reproductive Health Assessment Toolkit (RHA) for Conflict-Affected Women provides user-friendly tools to quantitatively assess the reproductive health needs of conflict-affected women aged 15–49 years. The RHA Toolkit enables field staff to collect data to inform program planning, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy. It promotes using the collected data to enhance services and improve the reproductive health of women and their families.

Much of our knowledge about PTSD is based on studies of adults. As evidenced by the birth of new scientific disciplines (e.g., developmental translational neuroscience), it is clear that what we learn from research involving adults may not necessarily be applicable to children and adolescents. Indee...d, the field of child and adolescent PTSD and trauma is relatively young, although the knowledge base has increased substantially over the past 2 decades. Moreover, task force members recognize that mental health professionals may have many different perspectives on child and adolescent trauma, particularly in regard to the specific nature of its effects and what interventions may be most effective in reducing negative outcomes and enhancing adaptive functioning. Although we attempt to summarize here what is currently known about child and adolescent PTSD and trauma, we welcome ongoing discussion and novel perspectives, which help to advance the field.

HANDBUCH FÜR DIE PRAXIS - Das Handbuch erläutert auf aktuellem Stand, unter welchen Voraussetzungen in Deutschland lebende Ausländer Sozialleistungen erhalten können. Dabei geht es immer um das Zusammenwirken zwischen Sozialrecht und Aufenthaltsrecht. Kommentiert werden die Ansprüche von Auslä...ndern auf Arbeitslosengeld II, Sozialhilfe und Asylbewerberleistungen sowie weitere Sozialleistungen wie z. B. das Kindergeld. Erläutert werden zudem die Voraussetzungen für eine Beschäftigungs- bzw. Erwerbserlaubnis sowie der Anspruch auf einen Deutsch- bzw. "Integrationskurs". Neben den nationalen Rechtsvorschriften sind auch die zunehmend bedeutsamen europarechtlichen Vorschriften sowie die Rechtsprechung des Europäischen Gerichtshofes berücksichtigt.

In the last quarter century, several projects emerged to reform mental health services in Latin American and Caribbean countries. Some did not survive the difficulties that inevitably arise in processes of change, and ended up disappearing before the intended changes could be introduced. Others, how...ever, as shown in this publication, were able to overcome difficulties and meet intended objectives, effectively transforming the structure and quality of services. All these projects, including the many that did not survive, were part of one of the richest experiences in the transformation of mental health care worldwide - the experience of mental health reform in Latin America and the Caribbean
