The Ministry of Health and Social Services achnowledges that approximately half the population of the global south live in rural areas and that these areas are only served by 38% of health workers. It is against this background that the Ministry conducted this study on order to estimate the number of health workers required in the country and thus ensure health coverage to all Namibians towards achieving Universal Health Coverage.
