MATERNAL AND CHILD SURVIVAL PR...OGRAM (MCSP - FORMERLY RMNCH) - MALARIA
more
Maternal and Child Survival Pr...ogram (MCSP - formerly RMNCH) - Malaria
more
MCSP is reducing maternal and ...newborn mortality and morbidity in Burma by strengthening the midwifery profession. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other partners, we promote best practices in maternal and newborn health care, and provide capacity building support to the Myanmar Nurses Midwives Association. We focus on evidence-based, high-quality interventions to reduce the leading drivers of maternal mortality in the country: postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and sepsis. MCSP also addresses the major causes of newborn death through improved neonatal resuscitation, prevention and management of pre-term birth, care for preterm/low birth weight newborns, and identification and management of newborn infections. And we work with the MOH to provide national technical assistance for malaria in pregnancy and integrated community case management.

VECTORWORKS - MALARIA
VectorWorks - Malaria
In FY 2015, this mechanism wil...l support the continuation of durability monitoring and insecticide efficacy of long-lasting insecticidal nets in Burma. The FY 2015 Malaria Operational Plan is fully aligned with the PMI goals, and has already undergone an inter-agency review and been approved by the Malaria Coordinator. Approved plans can be found at: * HYPERLINK http://www.pmi.gov/countries/mops/ http://www.pmi.gov/countries/mops/.
more
VectorWorks is a five-year glo...bal project, funded by the President’s Malaria Initiative, that aims to scale up vector control for malaria prevention through improved distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs), optimal roll-out of promising alternative vector control tools, and global policies that are informed by the use of monitoring and evaluation data. We are committed to a future where no one dies from malaria. VectorWorks develops and implements better ways to distribute ITNs, conducts research to inform evidence-based decision-making, and works to improve policy at global and country levels.

TRANSLATING RESEARCH INTO ACTI...ON (TRACTION) PROJECT - MALARIA

Translating Research into Acti...on (TRAction) Project - Malaria
more
The purpose of the Translating... Research into Action (TRAction) Project is to accelerate the introduction and scale up of approaches and interventions that when implemented in programs will reduce mortality and severe morbidity in women, newborns and young children. There is a preponderance of evidence on the potential impact of specific maternal, neonatal and child health interventions yet the successful implementation and scale-up of these in countries remains a challenge. TRAction will address this knowledge gap by managing research, introduction and evaluation activities on how to effectively deliver, increase utilization, achieve coverage, and scale-up evidence based newborn, child, maternaland integrated MNCH health and nutrition tools, approaches, interventions and policies that are relevant to field programs.

SIAPS focuses on enhancing pha...rmaceutical services through patientcentered solutions while continuing to support essential supply chain functions and medical products supply security. The SIAPS goal is to support the achievement of improved and sustained health outcomes by applying a systems strengthening approach consistent with the Global Health Initiative (GHI) principles. The SIAPS result areas address the intersections of five health systems components as they pertain to pharmaceutical services (governance, human resources, information, financing, and service delivery) in the design of potential interventions to ensure that they respond to health element and cross cutting concerns in support of health system strengthening.
