For over a decade, Senegalese and international journalists, human rights advocates, and child protection experts have documented and denounced the ongoing exploitation, abuse and neglect of children living in many of Senegal’s traditional Quranic schools, or daaras. Thousands of these children, k...nown as talibés, continue to live in conditions of extreme squalor, deprived of adequate food and medical care.

National AIDS Programme in Myanmar has made significant progress in scaling up antiretroviral treatment (ART) services and recognizes the importance of differentiated care for people living with HIV. Indeed, long centred around t...he hospital and reliant on physicians, the country's HIV response is undergoing a process of successful decentralization with HIV care increasingly being integrated into other health services as part of a systematic effort to expand access to HIV treatment. This study describes implementation of differentiated care in Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)‐supported programmes and reports its outcomes.

You are currently intervening or wishing to intervene in a dense urban context to
respond to issues of food security and improve livelihood conditions? This handbook
is for you!
Following the evaluation of all of its sack-gardening projects, SOLIDARITÉS
INTERNATIONAL (SI) wished to formalise... its experience through this technical
handbook.
NGOs, including SI, are increasingly led to intervene in contexts of high density (whether
in camps or in slums): this handbook is thus set within this dynamic.
It provides the keys for assessing the relevance of a sack-gardening project, as well as
the tools for its implementation. Nonetheless, all methodologies and tools proposed
in this handbook shall be further contextualised in case of a replication of this project.

The Cholera Q&A Fact Sheet provides essential information about cholera, including its causes, symptoms, treatment, and prevention. Cholera is an acute diarrheal disease caused by Vibrio cholerae, which spreads through contaminated water and food. It leads to rapid dehydration and can be fatal if un...treated. Symptoms range from mild diarrhea to severe dehydration, shock, and death.
Treatment primarily involves Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) to replace lost fluids, and in severe cases, intravenous fluids. Antibiotics are generally not recommended for mass treatment. Prevention focuses on safe drinking water, sanitation, hand hygiene, and proper food handling.
The document also discusses cholera vaccination, with three WHO-approved oral vaccines available. However, vaccines should be used alongside other control measures. The Global Task Force on Cholera Control (GTFCC) aims to eliminate cholera transmission in 20 countries by 2030 through improved sanitation, vaccination, and rapid outbreak response.
