The processes and procedures that are applied upon the entry into Germany of unaccompanied
minors, do not always follow any one precisely prescribed model that remains
consistent throughout Germany. Apart from the asylum procedure and some aspects of
border control, the reception of UNAMs is a re...sponsibility of the 16 German Länder, which,
on their part, delegate certain duties to districts (Landkreise), cities and local communities.
Depending on the Federal State in which an unaccompanied minor is apprehended, procedures
can therefore differ substantially in relation.

The materials emphasize the importance of a healthy breakfast to support energy levels, maintain a healthy weight, improve concentration, and meet daily nutritional needs. They are part of a broader initiative to educate children, parents, and educators on balanced nutrition and healthy eating habit...s for better overall health.
more
The materials focus on promoting balanced nutrition by encouraging the consumption of a variety of fruits and vegetables ("eating a rainbow") to obtain essential vitamins and minerals. They aim to educate children, parents, and educators on healthy eating practices, reducing sugar, salt, and fat int...ake, and understanding the nutritional benefits of diverse food groups for better health.
more
The documents promote balanced nutrition and healthy eating habits, emphasizing the need to limit daily consumption of sugar, salt, and fat while educating about the essential roles of food for energy, growth, and regulation. They are designed as educational resources for children, parents, and educ...ators to encourage better health through interactive and practical tools.

The document addresses the pressing issues of global malnutrition and the urgent need to build workforce capacity in public health nutrition, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. It highlights the dual burden of malnutrition, characterized by the coexistence of undernutrition and overnu...trition. While maternal and child undernutrition remain critical concerns, there is a growing prevalence of chronic diseases linked to overnutrition, even in resource-limited settings.
A significant gap exists in the availability of trained nutrition professionals. Many countries lack sufficient numbers of nutritionists, particularly at the undergraduate level, and existing training programs often focus on curative rather than preventive approaches. This leaves health workers inadequately prepared to address complex public health nutrition challenges.
To address these issues, the document recommends increasing the number of trained nutritionists, incorporating updated nutrition training into medical and nursing curricula, and developing competency frameworks and hybrid training programs. Accreditation systems for nutrition professionals are also proposed to ensure standardized and effective training.
Sustainability remains a challenge, with the need for long-term financing and better integration of nutrition programs into health systems. The document calls for systemic approaches to strengthen workforce capacity, enabling countries to effectively tackle the underlying causes of malnutrition.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) was earlier thought to be a disease prevalent in the West among Caucasians. However, quite a number of recent studies have uncovered CF cases outside of this region, and reported hundreds of unique and novel variant forms of CFTR. Here, we discuss the evidence of CF in parts of... the world earlier considered to be rare; Africa, and Asia. This review also highlighted the CFTR mutation variations and new mutations discovered in these regions. This discovery implies that the CF data from these regions were earlier underestimated. The inadequate awareness of the disease in these regions might have contributed towards the poor diagnostic facilities, under-diagnosis or/and under-reporting, and the lack of CF associated health policies. Overall, these regions have a high rate of infant, childhood and early adulthood mortality due to CF. Therefore, there is a need for a thorough investigation of CF prevalence and to identify unique and novel variant mutations within these regions in order to formulate intervention plans, create awareness, develop mutation specific screening kits and therapies to keep CF mortality at bay.

Time has seen management for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) advance drastically, most recently in the development of the disease-modifying triple combination therapy ivacaftor/tezacaftor/elexacaftor. There is currently limited evidence regarding both the global epidemiology of CF and access to this transforma...tive therapy - and therefore where needs are not being met. Therefore, this study aims to define gaps in access to CF treatment. The results show that a significant CF patient burden exists in countries where disease-modifying drugs are unavailable, and final figures are likely underestimates. This analysis shows the potential to improve rates of diagnosis and treatment for CF, so a higher percentage of patients receive the most effective triple combination treatment.

Since February 24th, 2022, the beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, more than 80,000 women were expected to give birth. Therefore, understanding the impact of war on the perinatal health of women is an important requisite to improve perinatal care. This narrative synthesis has two mai...n purposes: on one hand, it aims to summarize the current evidence available based on perinatal health outcomes and care among perinatal women; on the other, it attempts to identify the gaps still present in research in relation to perinatal care.

The South African Cystic Fibrosis Association (SACFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF) in South Africa. Their website provides comprehensive information about CF, including its causes, symptoms, and treatment options. CF is described as an in...herited genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs and pancreas, leading to the production of thick, sticky mucus that can cause severe respiratory and digestive issues. The site emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and proper management to improve the quality of life for those affected. Additionally, SACFA outlines its mission to raise public awareness, promote medical advancements, and offer support to the CF community through various initiatives and resources.
