While decisive action must be taken now to blunt the impact of the pandemic in countries likely to be hit the hardest, many of the investments in the supply chain, compensation, dedicated supervision, continuous training and performance management necessary for rapid community response in a pandemic are the same as those required to achieve universal healthcare and prevent the next epidemic.

En este documento se ofrece orientación para elegir la preparación en los diferentes métodos copromicroscópicos y la técnica de tinción principal para el diagnóstico de los parásitos intestinales (nematodos, trematodos, cestodos y protozoos). Las microfotografías presentan la apariencia y las características diagnósticas de los diferentes parásitos en las diversas preparaciones. Los medios auxiliares se elaboraron en un formato plastificado impermeable que es sólido y fácil de usar en la mesa de laboratorio. Se recomienda su uso a todos los profesionales de salud que se ocupan del diagnóstico corriente de las parasitosis intestinales.
