A Decade of Progress and Action for the Future will examine the tenacity and innovation that helped us make gains, the lessons learned through monitoring, country-led adaptation and leadership, analysis, and reflection, as well as the approaches we must take to reinvigorate the momentum and global commitment to improving maternal and child survival. This publication helps decision-makers to consider and optimize the synergies between existing and future assets and investments intended for both PHC and disease-specific responses, including HIV. Specifically, it aims to:
• provide guidance to policy-makers, health system managers and programmatic leads from both PHC and HIV backgrounds regarding opportunities to jointly advance their respective efforts to strengthen PHC and end AIDS as a public health threat; and
• provide a resource for all stakeholders who seek to contribute to strengthening PHC and ending AIDS as a public health threat in a synergistic manner, including people living with HIV, members of key and vulnerable populations, community and civil society representatives, people working in all areas of health systems, researchers, funders and private-sector decision-makers.

Dentro de ese cuidado integral, la atención psicosocial incluye las dimensiones social, psicológica, espiritual y funcional del proceso de enfermedad de los pacientes. Esta serie recoge una serie de orientaciones y normas basadas en la evidencia que garantizan la calidad de dicha atención. Las normas son el resultado de la discusión y la revisión de distintos profesionales de América Latina y el Caribe. El módulo 1 se centra en la evaluación psicosocial como estrategia de apoyo a los objetivos de la Iniciativa Mundial contra el Cáncer Infantil y como herramienta para que los profesionales de la salud recaben la información necesaria para ofrecer a estos pacientes un abordaje integral enfocado en el bienestar, la adaptación al proceso de enfermedad y la adherencia al tratamiento.
