Protecting communities: Prevention of mosquito borne disease - A road to resilience in Southeast Asia

These comics aim to raise awareness of diseases spread by infected insect bites and how to prevent them, using engaging, child-friendly illustrations. Designed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the comics are intended as educational tools for communities in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on children and their caregivers. They emphasise key preventive measures such as eliminating mosquito breeding sites, wearing protective clothing and applying insect repellent. By combining storytelling with health education, the comics effectively convey essential dengue prevention information in a way that is both accessible and culturally relevant. Accessed on 20/06/2025.
