Ce document décrit trois facteurs principaux de s...uccès :(1) un leadership exceptionnel et un fort engagement des partenaires, (2) l’atteinte et le maintien de niveaux élevés de couverture des interventions, et (3) la promotion d’une culture d’utilisation des données; et explore plusieurs nouvelles opportunités prometteuses pour consolider et amplifier les succès des deux dernières décennies.

naissance prématurée et d'autres complications, et accroître le risque de maladies chroniques, et notamment de troubles respiratoires, de maladie cardiovasculaire et de cancer. L'environnement est donc un facteur majeur de la santé des enfants et offre d'importantes possibilités d'amélioration dont les effets se manifestent dans toutes les régions du monde.

Initialement, le programme Super Go est un programme conçu pour renforcer les attitudes et aptitudes des adolescentes et jeunes femmes vulnérables de 15 à 24 ans, en leur donnant les informations et compétences indispensables pour éviter les situations à risque VIH.
Ce programme est mis en ...œuvre en Côte d’Ivoire par le Centre des Programmes de Communication de l’Université Johns Hopkins, (CCP), sous plusieurs projets (PACT, HC3 et actuellement Breakthrough ACTION), à travers des ONG partenaires, depuis 2010.

MEDBOX Issue Brief 27: ces derniers temps, un nombre dramatique de cas de choléra a été enregistré dans le monde entier. Selon l'Organisation mondiale de la santé, 29 pays ont déjà signalé la présence de choléra cette année (2022).
La Syrie, le Malawi et Haïti sont actuellement aux pris...es avec des épidémies particulièrement importantes.
Le 2 octobre 2022, les autorités nationales haïtiennes ont signalé les deux premiers cas confirmés de Vibrio cholerae O1 dans l'agglomération de Port-au-Prince. Dans la prison de Port-au-Prince, il y a une épidémie de choléra qui a identifié 271 cas suspects à ce jour, dont 12 cas confirmés et 14 décès.
Il convient de noter que cette épidémie survient dans un contexte de crise humanitaire et sécuritaire complexe à Port-au-Prince et dans les villes voisines, où l'accès aux services de santé et, par conséquent, la surveillance épidémiologique pourraient être affectés.

Despite high regional demand for vaccines valued at over US$ 1 billion annually, Africa’s vaccine industry provides only 0.1% of global supply. Vaccine inequity and hoarding at the start of the pandemic, which resulted in delays in obtaining COVID-19 doses, stimulated new resolve to address future... supply security. In 2021, the AU set a target to produce and supply more than 60% of the vaccine doses on the continent by 2040.
In the last 18 months alone, more than 30 new African manufacturing projects have been announced and estimates indicate that the African vaccine market across all existing and projected novel products could range between US$ 2.8 billion and US$ 5.6 billion by 2040*, demonstrating the potential for a thriving regional industry to emerge.

En 2015, l’OMS a publié la Stratégie et plan d’action sur WASH et les MTN à l’échelle mondiale qui propose de nouvelles méthodes de collaboration aux partenaires et les incite à investir dans les programmes en vue de soutenir la réalisation des objectifs de la feuille de route 2012 de l...’OMS contre les maladies tropicales négligées. Le cadre BEST, élaboré en 2016 par le réseau des ONG de développement chargées de la lutte contre les MTN, appuie la stratégie en proposant un cadre conceptuel utile pour
faire en sorte que toutes les activités nécessaires à l’élimination des MTN,
notamment l’approvisionnement en eau et l’assainissement ainsi que les
autres interventions essentielles d’élimination des MTN, soient menées à bien tout en garantissant la pérennité et le renforcement des systèmes de santé. Le cadre BEST peut être utilisé pour aider à planifier, financer et adopter des approches globales ciblant les groupes de population qui en ont le plus besoin.

La schistosomiase est une parasitose aiguë et chronique provoquée par des vers (trématodes) du genre Schistosoma. Au moins 249 millions de personnes ont eu besoin d’un traitement préventif en 2012. Le traitement préventif, qui doit être répété sur plusieurs années, permettra de réduire ...et de prévenir la morbidité.
